National Health Insurance Debate Under Nixon
In 1971, President Nixon proposed a national health insurance plan built on heavily employer private coverage. Senator Ted Kennedy proposed what would today be called a single-payer plan. In 1974, the debate had morphed into Nixon vs. Kennedy-Mills vs. Organized labor. Despite the prediction in the second clip shown, the result was stalemate rather than passage in 1974 or 1975.
2008 LULAC National Legislative Awards Gala
The LULAC National Legislative Awards Gala highlights critical legislative issues affecting Hispanic Americans and recognizes key leaders who have served the Hispanic community well. LULAC will present awards to three distinguished elected officials at our eleventh gala, which will occur on Wednesday, February 27th, 2008 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington, DC. The hotel is located just two blocks from the White House and Washington Mall area. We will also celebrate the 79th anniversary of LULAC, which was formed on February 17, 1929. Proceeds from the LULAC National Legislative Awards Gala support the important work of the LULAC National Office. This includes lulac’s policy and legislative advocacy, as well as its organizing of Hispanic communities through the creation of LULAC councils throughout the United States. Contributions to the legislative gala are not tax deductible as a charitable contribution, but may be deductible as a business expense.

Is the insurance deductible reimbursed to the home owner once the state is declared a “National Disaster Area”?
I work in Kentucky as a Builder/Re-modeler and have many homeowners say that their deductible is covered/paid because the state is declared a “National Disaster”
I do not have time to research this because of extra work.
What I would like to know…Is the deductible really covered by a “Natural Disaster”?
